Virtual Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between MBTU Business School and the Embassy of Ecuador in Switzerland

The formal ceremony for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding for Academic Collaboration and Granting of Scholarships between MBTU Business School Madrid; and the Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in the Swiss Confederation, concurrently accredited to Liechtenstein and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with headquarters in Bern, is held.

Attending on behalf of the Embassy of Ecuador in Switzerland are Ms. Verónica Bustamante, Ambassador; Mr. Edil Sánchez, Minister; and Ms. Jenny Angulo, Consular Affairs Officer.

This Memorandum of Understanding represents a landmark step in strengthening educational ties and fostering Ecuadorian talent abroad. Its goal is the implementation of an academic collaboration program consisting of the granting of eight full scholarships by MBTU Business School Madrid and the Guayaquil University of Business Technology (UTEG) for Ecuadorian citizens residing in Switzerland and other countries under the Embassy’s jurisdiction.

The granted scholarships are for the following degree programs:

• 2 full scholarships for a Bachelor’s in Social Management and Development (12 months), with an individual tuition cost of €1,872, amounting to a total of €3,744.
• 2 full scholarships for a Bachelor’s in Business Administration (18 months), with an individual tuition cost of €2,808, amounting to a total of €5,616.
• 2 full scholarships for a Bachelor’s in Finance (18 months), with an individual tuition cost of €2,808, amounting to a total of €5,616.
• 2 full scholarships for a Software Engineering degree (24 months), with an individual tuition cost of €3,312, amounting to a total of €6,624.

The investment in these 8 scholarships, which totals €21,600, is a testament to our firm belief in the potential of Ecuadorians and the value of quality education. We know that the beneficiaries of these scholarships will become highly skilled leaders and professionals, contributing to progress both in Switzerland and in their home country.
